I’m coming in hot this week with a quick recap of all the places and faces I’ve seen over the past couple of weeks.
By this time tomorrow I will have been in 6 different airports across the country and also overseas. Phew.

It’s not like I enjoy grueling air travel or making things difficult.
Trust me, I am a “non-stop,” “fastest air travel aggregate hours and travel route” kinda gal.
But between dog-caring logistics and personal and professional commitments, darting around the U.S. is what worked best.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy this dispatch of my recent travel snapshots:
Miami
We managed to catch sunrises most mornings. When the ocean water is like glass, it’s hard to resist going for a morning swim.
Colorado
I was able to re-visit one of my favorite places in the world: the majestic Flatirons in Boulder, Colorado.
We managed an early hike before the heat set in, and we were particularly lucky that a rainstorm the night before cleared out some smoke:
In Boulder, I gave a talk to a room of young scholars about personal financial management; here’s me and my mentee shortly after cocktail hour.
In flight
When you spend a lot of time on planes, well, you take a lot of pics on planes.
Loving up on our seat neighbor.
A view from the clouds.
I’ve definitely swapped between economy and business classes too.
Always okay to splurge for longer haul flights or when I need the extra relaxation:
And, here’s a little hint for what I’ll be recapping next:
Where are your end of summer travels taking you?
